Blood on the snow is the first book I’ve read from Emma l Beal and I’m very impressed. She has a style of writing that is very easy to read, she’s not trying to be pretentious, but she is very creative and knows how to tell a tell a tale that keeps readers interested to the very end. The main character, Jessica Benson, while staying at a lodge in Whitby with 3 of her friends survives an horrific attack which leaves her 3 friends brutally murdered. Emma then takes Jessica on a rollercoaster of emotions to the point where she feels she as to try and avenge the murder of her friends and she can only do that by putting her own life in danger again. There are a lot of twists and turns and the pace of the book is very good and it moves along very well and makes you want to continue reading. I’m not going to give any spoilers away but I was surprised by the last third of the book and was more than satisfied with the ending.

I enjoyed reading “Blood on the snow” and ultimately that is all I want from a work of fiction, to finish the book and be happy I read it and I’m definitely happy to have read this particular book and I’m happy to have found a new author who will hopefully continue to write great stories and entertain many many readers in the future and I will definitely be one of those readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW - what a page turner!

Supporting a small independent book shop in Leeds (Pink Lady Books) brought this to my attention as the author is also a 'Leeds lass' - wanting to give my support locally I purchased this and added to the mountainous TBR pile! I finally picked it up a couple of weeks ago & devoured it in 2 sittings (and that was only because I had to go out!) - a great twist & turn book - empathy for the main character and fury for the villain. a real 5* read from a fabulous author who I believe will be destined for a great career if she keeps writing books like this. I have just received Book 2 (Now You Don't) and will be delving into this to continue Jade's story.

I started this book this morning. Binged it until I had to go out (slightly annoyed that I had to do that and couldn't carry on binging)!! Just finished it off now. I cannot wait for book 3.

Definitely recommend this book (and the first one - Now you see me)

Well done Emma L Beal for keeping me enthralled from start to finish.

This is the 3rd book in an amazing story about a lady called Jade whose twists and turns through a very difficult time in her life are superbly dealt with by this author. I just couldn't put these books down on holiday. I'll be sure to read other books by Emma.
